Founder and Chairman,
Jonathan Schiff is the Founder and Chairman of Schiff Development, a China based developer/operator of workforce housing. He is also the Managing Director of Schiff Family Office, a Singapore based investment firm. Mr. Schiff is also a Principal in his family’s US based real-estate firm which has developed/operated resort and commercial properties in Las Vegas since the 1960s.
Schiff is a Director of LionRock Capital (http://www.lionrockcapitalhk.com/#/index), a Hong Kong based private equity firm. He is also a Director of the Singapore entity for Carret Private (http://carretprivate.com/), a Hong Kong based asset manager with US$2B+ of assets under management. Schiff’s previous experiences include work with The Related Companies (http://www.related.com/) as Special Assistant to President of Related Las Vegas, Molasky Pacific (http://www.molaskyco.com/) as an acquisitions analyst, and the US Foreign Commercial Service. Starting in 1998 Schiff lived and worked in China for more than a decade based first in Chengdu/Sichuan and later in Macau/PRD.
Schiff earned a joint-MBA from Kellogg and HKUST. He studied Mandarin at both Middlebury College and Sichuan Union University and earned a BS in Hospitality from UNLV. He is a member of the YPO Singapore Chapter, the Urban Land Institute and the AmCham Macau Board of Governors.
Owner’s Representative and Project Director, The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited
Gary W. Chin serves as the Owner’s Representative and Project Director for The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited. Currently, he is overseeing development and construction of the new Peninsula Hotel in Istanbul. Mr. Chin is also the Managing Director for Gary W. Chin & Associates where he is responsible for advising the planning, design and implementation of construction and development programs for hotels, casinos and other hospitality related projects.
Mr. Chin previously advised on the Resorts World Newport (Manila), the Mandarin Oriental Taipei, and several hospitality projects in Macau. Prior to forming Gary W. Chin & Associates in 2009, Mr. Chin was the Vice President Construction Asian Division for Wynn Design and Development – Macau. In 1992, he worked as the Worldwide Director of Construction for Hyatt International Corporation in Chicago, Illinois after moving from the Hyatt’s Asia Pacific Division in Hong Kong. Prior to working in Hong Kong, Mr. Chin was the Owner’s Representative for the development and construction of the Grand Hyatt Bali at Bali, Indonesia. Prior to working at the Hyatt, Mr. Chin worked for the premier general contractor supervising a variety of building types in Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction, and held a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington.
Robert D. Naso
Managing Director and Co-Head of Asset Management, Bentall GreenOak
Robert D. Naso serves as Managing Director and Co-Head of Asset Management for Bentall GreenOak, a multi-national real-estate investment firm. He also serves as Managing Director and Co-Founder of both Green Bridge Asia Capital Consulting (“CBAC”) and India Real Estate Partners (“IREP”). Mr. Naso has over 18 years institutional real estate experience throughout Asia Pacific and the United States.
Previous Mr. Naso was a Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing Asia Pacific. He oversaw the group’s asset management activities in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, India, Singapore/SE Asia and Korea. Mr. Naso worked at MSREI in their New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore offices, where he assumed full Asia Pacific regional responsibility for the group in 2008. Prior to joining MSREI, Mr. Naso spent 10 years with Prudential Real Estate Investors in their Newark, Short Hills and Parsippany, NJ offices.
Mr. Naso received a Bachelor’s degree of Accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA from New York University.
Mitchell A. Presnick
Founder and Chairman of
Super 8 Hotels (China)
Mitchell A. Presnick is the Founder and CEO of Room Technology Ventures, a technology platform which enables limited service hotels to better manage their inventory and distruction management. He is also a Board Member of Bloom Hotel Group, a mid-market hotel group based in India.
Previously Mr. Presnick was the Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of Super 8 Hotels (China) Co., Ltd, a brand operated in Greater China under master license granted by Wyndham Hotel Group International (NYSE: WYN). Super 8 China entered the market in 2004 and currently operates more than 650 franchised and lease-managed economy hotel properties in the P.R.C.
Prior to establishing Super 8 in China, Mr. Presnick served as China country manager for Edelman, a US-based public relations agency, and founding China managing director for APCO Associates, a Washington, D.C. based public affairs firm. In both roles, he led market entry and brand development initiatives for multinational clients including Procter & Gamble, M&M Mars, Johnson & Johnson, and Anheuser-Busch. Mr. Presnick spent eight years on the Budweiser China brand entry team.
Mr. Presnick holds an EMBA from the Rutgers Graduate School of Business and a graduate diploma in Chinese language from Peking University. He graduated from James Madison University in 1988 with a bachelor degree in management. In 2005, Mr. Presnick was named as one of the “Top Ten Influential Persons in the Chinese Tourism Industry” by China Tourism Weekly; “Top Ten Figure of China’s Hospitality Industry” by China’s Hotels Modernization Magazine; and “Outstanding Franchise Executive of the Year” in 2006 by the China Chain Store and Franchise Association (CCFA). In 2007, Mr. Presnick was named by Travel Weekly as one of the “33 Most Influential People in the Global Travel Industry”.
Mr. Presnick is former Vice Chairman and Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in China. He is also the former Vice Chairman of the Peking University Foreign Alumni Advisory Board, and former Chairman of the ‘Rutgers in China President’s Advisory Board’.
David J. Spencer
STS Capital Partners
David J. Spencer currently serves as Senior Advisor for STS Capital Partners, an international, boutique M&A firm, specializing in sell-side consulting for entrepreneurs and family businesses. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Taylor’s Education Groups, one of South-East Asia’s leading education groups, and a Board Member of Asia Pacific Investment Partners, a real-estate development firm which is Mongolia’s largest non-mining company.
Mr. Spencer previously served as Managing Director for Emerald Hill Capital Partners Ltd., where he led efforts around fundraising, investing, team-building, and portfolio monitoring for over US$600mm of assets. He has been living and working in Asia since 1991, across Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Korea, China/Hong Kong, Mongolia, and Vietnam.
Prior to Emerald Hill, Mr. Spencer joined General Electric in 1997 as a business development leader and subsequently founded and led GE’s Financial Restructuring Group in Asia. He has also served as head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development for GE Company in Japan/Korea, and he most recently served as Managing Director, Commercial & Strategic Marketing Leader of GE Commercial Finance – Asia, GE’s largest and most profitable business at the time, with responsibility for $2.2 billion of incremental organic growth initiatives across 11 markets in Asia. Prior to joining GE Capital, Mr. Spencer spent two years as a management consultant at Booz • Allen & Hamilton based in Singapore. He also spent over five years with Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in Tokyo, Bangkok and New York.
Mr. Spencer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, an MA in International Studies (Japan/Asia) from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, and he has graduated several of GE’s most senior Executive Education training courses. He has achieved ACTFL-tested level 3 proficiency in Japanese and is conversant in Bahasa Indonesian.
Daniel Kar Keung Tseung

Mr. Tseung is the Founder, Managing Director & Investment Committee Member of LionRock Capital (www.lionrockcapitalhk.com) and has over 25 years of experience in the direct investments industry.
Prior to founding Lionrock Capital in 2011, Mr. Tseung served as the Managing Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Direct Investments Limited, the private equity division of one of Asia’s largest conglomerates whose business interests include real estate, financial services, telecommunications, and infrastructure. Before joining the Sun Hung Kai Properties Group in 2000, Mr. Tseung worked from 1997 to 2000 at GE Equity, the private equity arm of GE Capital, and from 1993 to 1995 at DE Shaw, a major global hedge fund.
Mr. Tseung previously served as an independent Board Director from 2009 to 2016 for Gourmet Master (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 2723), a leading café & bakery in Greater China that operates under the retail brand name “85c” and for HC2 Holdings (New York Stock Exchange: HCHC), a diversified investment holding company which seeks to acquire and grow attractive businesses that generate sustainable free cash flow, from 2014 to 2016.
Mr. Tseung also previously served on the Board of Directors of RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading cable, telephone, and data services provider, and served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee from 2004 until the acquisition of RCN for USD$ 1.2 billion in August 2010. Mr. Tseung also served on the Board of Directors of Chinacast Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CAST), a premier educational services provider in the People’s Republic of China.
In addition, Mr. Tseung is a Senior Advisor to Owens Corning (NYSE: OC), a Fortune 500 company & world leader in supplying building materials systems and composite solutions, for which Mr. Tseung served as an independent board member from 2006 until 2010.
Mr. Tseung holds a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a Master’s Degree from Harvard University.
